If you plan to be married in Massachusetts, both parties must appear together to fill out the Marriage Intention. After the intention is completed there is a three (3) day waiting period before the marriage license can be issued. The marriage licenses must be used within sixty days of the date of filing the intention. The cost for filing the Marriage Intention is $15.00. Once married, the officiant signs the license and returns it to the Town Clerk.
