Historical Commission Vacancy
The Town of Grafton is seeking an individual to serve as a member of the Grafton Historical Commission.  The Commission generally meets on the third Thursday of each month.

The Grafton Historical Commission is composed of seven members appointed for three year terms.  The Commission works towards preservation, protection and development of the historical and archeological assets of the town. It may research places of historic or archeological value and coordinate the activities of unofficial bodies organized for similar purposes. For the purpose of protecting and preserving such places, it may make such recommendations as it deems necessary to the Selectmen and to the Massachusetts Historical Commission that any such place be certified as an historical or archeological landmark. The Historical Commission may hold hearings; and perform any and all acts necessary or desirable for the purpose of furthering the Commission’s program in accordance with MGL Chapter 40: Section 8D. Interested individuals must be registered voters and possess a basic understanding or knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the subject multiple member body.
