Planning Board – Associate Member
The Town of Grafton is seeking an individual to serve as the Associate Member of the Planning Board. This is an appointed position with a term of two (2) years.
The Grafton Planning Board is composed of five full members (elected for three year terms) and one associate member (appointed for a two year term). The Board’s primary purpose is to review proposed residential and commercial development in Grafton under state law; the Town of Grafton’s zoning bylaw; and the Town’s Subdivision Rules and Regulations. The Planning Board also conducts public hearings and makes recommendations to the Board of Selectmen regarding zoning by-law changes, scenic road applications, and other issues relating to land use and development. The Board designates members to serve as representatives on several other Town Committees such as the Town-owned Land Committee and the Community Preservation Committee. The Board oversees the work of the Planning Department which includes
subdivision management, grants, development and implementation of local land use plans and projects, coordination with State agencies, affordable housing, and customer service.
