The DPW Administration manages the operations of all DPW division and provides project administration, grant administration, budget development, internal expenditure control, clerical and accounting activities for the processing of payrolls, procurement of goods and services, billings, short and long-range planning, compilation of estimates and preparation of bidding documents, administration and oversight of major contract activity, maintaining public record files of the DPW, responding to correspondence from residents and officials on DPW matters, administration of permits,
ensures the Town’s compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, trains, motivates, and directs personnel to perform all program activities, interface with the Town Administrator, town boards, committee’s, departments as well as with other Municipal, Regional, State and Federal agencies, performs reviews and grants approval of proposed new construction with respect to items affecting public works such as roads, drainage, sidewalks, etc.; and performs many other tasks both routine and non routine.
