Grafton Awarded Community Compact Cabinet
Information Technology Grant
On May 17, 2017, Town of Grafton was one of 47 cities and towns across the Commonwealth to be awarded a grant under the Community Compact Information Technology (IT) Grant Program. The Town of Grafton received $29,763 under the IT Grant Program for the implementation of permit tracking software and purchase of equipment.
Announced by the Baker-Polito Administration, the Governor Baker said, “The cabinet’s IT Grant Program allows the state to support critical investments in technology projects and upgrades for municipalities seeking to streamline and improve their local services.” The grant award will allow the Town to implement a permit tracking platform which will improve permit processing, review and inspections through the coordination of the numerous permit issuing departments/ committees across the town to be more responsive to economic development projects and to reduce costs for property and business owners by reducing permitting timelines and improving efficiencies.
