Summer Days Program

Welcome to the Grafton Recreation Summer Days Program!

Our day camp, for ages 4-13, is held on the grounds of the Millbury St. School in Grafton. The full day program and half day program give children the ability to participate in a variety of activities with their peers and under the supervision of our Recreation Staff. We will strive to maintain a staff to child ratio of 1:5 for children up to age 6 and a ratio of 1:10 for children ages 7 and up. Children are divided into groups of similar ages and will rotate through such activities as sports, arts and crafts, water activities and more.
New activities and items this year include theme weeks, archery (for ages 7-13), a gaga pit, a weekly visit from Crystal Entertainment for a 'wet n' wild' day (waterslides, misting station, etc), slammo and more!
Registration is going on now! Take advantage of the early registration fee of $140 per week per child for our Full Day Program and $65 per week per child for our Half Day Program until April 1!

Program Offerings and Fees

Full Day Program
  • Ages: 6 - 13; must be entering 1st grade in the fall
  • Days: Monday - Friday
  • Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Cost: $150 - first child per week,  $140 - each additional child per week
  • Every Friday, participants will visit Silver Lake Beach.
  • Optional field trips are held on Wednesdays for an additional fee ($25-$30). Those who choose to not attend the field trip will have a regular day of activities at the school.
Half Day Program
  • Ages: 4 - 13; must be entering kindergarten or have attended pre-school
  • Days: Monday - Friday
  • Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm
  • Cost: $75 - first child per week, $65 - each additional child per week
Counselor-in-Training Program
  • The C.I.T. program will help your 14 or 15 year old develop their leadership potential and give them an understanding of what is needed to be responsible for a group of children. Through day to day oversight by the same Program Leader and caring for the same group of children, they will gain self confidence, become aware of the environment around them, learn group management skills and become mentors to the kids in their group, all while still being able to experience the FUN of our summer youth program. *We are looking for teenagers who demonstrate leadership skills, are respectful, can follow rules and will be a positive role model for our campers
  • Ages: 14 - 15
  • Days: Monday - Friday
  • Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm or 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Cost: $35 per week
  • Two weeks maximum allowed per participant
Early Drop-Off / Late Pick-Up
  • Early drop-off from 8am-9am is available on a weekly basis for an additional $20/week.
  • Late pick-up is available from 4-5:30pm for an additional $40/week.


Session Dates and Descriptions:
Session 1: July 3 - 7 (No program on July 4 -prorated fee)
  • Aloha Summer - Say 'aloha' to the end of the school year and the beginning of summer as we get into sand art, beach ball kickball, limbo contests, slip 'n slide, and lawn games.
Session 2: July 10 - 14
  • The Amazing Race - An exciting adventure awaits! Groups get a passport to travel to a new country each day participating in different challenges.
  • Field Trip - West End Creamery
Session 3: July 17 - 21
  • Wild West Week - Travel back intime, be a cowboy, use a treasure map to hunt for gold, look for the Most Wanted at camp, sing camp fire songs and more!
  • Field Trip - Breezy Waterslides
Session 4: July 24 - 28
  • Safari Adventures - Travel through different geographies to learn about a variety of animals.
  • Field Trip - Southwick Zoo
Session 5: July 31 - August 4
  • Grafton Has Talent - Group will come up with crazy acts to perform in front of counselors, compete in a lip sync battle, put on an ultimate talent show and more!
  • Field Trip - Ecotarium
Session 6: August 7 - 11
  • Under the Sea - Dive into ocean life and learn about the secret world under the sea!
  • Field Trip - Breezy Waterslides


General Notes:

  • Children will need to bring the following items daily: peanut-free bag lunch (no glass), plenty of water and snacks, sneakers (no sandals/flip-flops), hat, and sunscreen.
  • Full Day program participants will need to bring a bathing suit and towel on Fridays.
