Overview

The residents of Grafton voted to adopt the Community Preservation Act (CPA) (MA General Law [MGL] Chapter 44B). Adoption at the local level was completed by a three step approval process:

  • October 15, 2001 - Adoption of CPA at Town Meeting; Article 30
  • May 2, 2002 - Approval by Ballot Vote
  • May 13, 2002 - Establishment of the Community Preservation Committee through creation of a General By-Law by Town Meeting; Article 34 of the Town's General By-Laws
