Grafton Economic Development Self Assessment
The Town of Grafton has been working with the Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy out of Northeastern University to identify a broad range of issues that impact economic development in Grafton.

Main Street / Route 122A Transportation Improvement Project
The project is approximately 2.05 miles in length and consists of new sidewalks with improved handicap accessibility, new and reset granite curbing and a reconstructed/resurfaced roadway with bicycle accommodating shoulders.

Redevelopment of 27 Upton Street
The Town of Grafton will move its Department of Public Works to a new location freeing the approximately 7.04 acres for redevelopment.

Redevelopment of 8 Pine Street
The Grafton MBTA commuter train station is one of the last options on the Worcester / Boston line to build a signature project reflecting the history of the Grafton State Hospital with the amenities of modern day living with access to jobs, shops, entertainment, and open space.

Revision of "Subdivision Rules & Regulations"
The Planning Board has completed this stage of revisions to the Grafton subdivision control rules and regulations and will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 22, 2021 to consider amending this document.

Worcester Street Conceptual Roadway Layout Study
The Town of Grafton along with its consultants, VHB, have been collecting information on potential roadway improvements along Worcester Street between Snow Road and Carroll Road.

MBTA Communities Zoning
Under Section 3A of MGL c. 40A, all communities served by the MBTA must zone to allow for multifamily housing as of right, with a greater obligation for communities with better access to transit stations. Grafton is considered an "Adjacent Community," and will be working with CMRPC to update zoning to meet state requirements.
