Grafton Gets a Handle on Plastic Bag Use:

In May of 2017, the Town of Grafton passed a Plastic Bag Reduction Bylaw.

This bylaw is intended to reduce the amount of plastic waste generated by the Town. This bylaw only pertains to establishments or businesses selling goods, articles, or personal services to the public including restaurants with a gross interior space of 3,000 square feet or larger; or businesses having at least 2 locations under the same ownership brand name within the Town of Grafton

This bylaw will take effect on July 1, 2018.

All qualifying establishments are required to discontinue single-use plastic bags and find a compliant bag that meets the new criteria.
