The Town of Grafton’s most recent Open Space & Recreation Plan was completed in 2007 and was valid through 2012. In addition to documenting existing resources facilities, the plan also analyses the town’s growth and need for future open space acquisitions and recreation facilities. The Plan includes a 5 year implementation and action plan that provides guidance for future purchases and development of facilities. With an approved plan, the Town is also eligible to receive grants for open space protection, trail development, and recreational facilities.
The Open Space and Recreation Committee is charged with developing open space and recreation goals for the Town of Grafton. They will be focusing on updating the 2007 Open Space & Recreation Plan. The Committee consists of 7 members; five of which are appointed by various Town Committees and two members at large who are appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
The following documents are considered draft and will be reviewed by Committee Members so that the plan may be finalized and forwarded to the Select Board, Planning Board, and Conservation Commission for approval prior to being submitted to the State for approval.
