The following application types require a formal public hearing before the Planning Board:
- Special Permits
- Special Permit & Site Plan Approval (joint application when required by the Grafton Zoning By-Law)
- Site Plans
- Definitive Plans
- Scenic Roads
- Proposed Zoning By-Law Changes
- Proposed Zoning Map Changes
Massachusetts General Law (MGL Chapter 40A) requires two week public notice for each such hearing as follows:
Section 11. In all cases where notice of a public hearing is required notice shall be given by publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the city or town once in each of two successive weeks, the first publication to be not less than fourteen days before the day of the hearing and by posting such notice in a conspicuous place in the city or town hall for a period of not less than fourteen days before the day of such hearing.
